Why I built it
After years of producing, shooting and acting in independent films, I kept running into the same problem: the locations every story needs — a hospital, a police station, a courtroom, a jail — were either impossible to get or impossible to afford.
So I built them. Nvisionate grew into a 17,000-square-foot stage on Lankershim Boulevard with 18 standing sets — hospital, morgue, police station, jail, courtroom, bar, apartment and more — designed around the stories indie filmmakers actually tell.
Today it's one of the most popular filming locations in Los Angeles, hosting everyone from student filmmakers and web series to network productions, and it's one of the things I'm proudest of. I opened the first Nvisionate studio in 2013.

How it came together
It started small: a modest 2,500-square-foot studio in Van Nuys, where I spent two years building the first sets and learning what productions really needed.
Next came a 7,000-square-foot studio in Burbank, home for ten years, where the standing sets grew and the studio built its reputation with indie and network productions alike.
Today: a 17,000-square-foot home on Lankershim Boulevard with two stages, 18 standing sets and a third stage on the way — and a small team I'm proud to work with.
