About Nick
I’ve lived in Santa Clarita for more than 14 years with my wife and our two children, ages 8 and 7. Before moving here from Maryland 25 years ago, I worked throughout Los Angeles County before deciding Santa Clarita was where we wanted to build our future.
Professionally, I’m a small business owner and have spent the past 25 years working in the film industry. I’ve been a union member for 18 years.
Service, however, has always been the defining part of my life.
For more than a decade I’ve served as a licensed Emergency Medical Technician and volunteer first responder. Today I’m proud to serve with the Santa Clarita Valley Search & Rescue Team, responding to wilderness rescues and searches for high-risk missing persons throughout our region. I also volunteer with the LAPD Search & Rescue Team, assisting in searches for missing children and vulnerable adults.
Earlier in my life I served as an EMT with a Maryland fire department, volunteered with my county police department, worked with the Los Angeles Mayor’s Crisis Response Team supporting families after tragic incidents, and volunteered with organizations including the American Red Cross.
As a cancer survivor since the age of 21, I’ve never taken a single day for granted. That experience shaped my commitment to service and reinforced my belief that the greatest measure of success is how much good we do for others.
That’s the same philosophy I’ll bring to City Hall.
Why I’m Running
Santa Clarita is an incredible city. My wife and I chose to raise our family here because we truly believe it’s one of the best places in California to live.
But loving our city also means recognizing where we can do better.
For too long, we’ve had many of the same elected leaders making many of the same decisions. They deserve credit for the things they’ve done well, but every community benefits from new perspectives, new energy, and leaders willing to ask difficult questions before decisions are made—not afterward.
I’m running because I believe our city can be even better.
